Awards 2016
/in AwardsThe end of the year 2016 is coming and we are proudly looking back on our awarded wines. Our “Ortswein” Langenlois Grüner Veltliner Löss won Gold in a regional tasting as well as reached third place at the Kamptal Cup. In 2014 we started to bottle our single vineyards separately and the first feedback was very positive: Kittmannsberg reached IWC Silver and Silver at die Bioweinpreis in Germany. Single Vineyard Spiegel Grüner Veltliner 2015 got 91 Points from the Falstaff Magazine and Haasel Riesling 90 Points from the A la Carte Magazine. Chardonnay Zeitlos 2015 stand out as 2nd place at the Langenlois Champion. Likewise our Rotburger 2014 in the category “Zweigelt”.

Harvest 2016 just started
/in NewsOn Thursday we startet harvesting our first grapes. A perfect day with a lot of sunshine and a nice view over Langenlois.
Two finalists at the Langenlois Champion Wine Award
/in News, AwardsWe are happy that we had two wines awarded in the regional blind tasting of Langenlois. Our wine Chardonnay Zeitlos 2015 reached the second place amog other Chardonnays and Pinot blancs. In the tasting Rotburger 2014, our Zweigelt in Barrique, was seen as third best Zweigelt. We are really happy about the results and looking forward to intruduce these two wines to you soon.
Silver Medal at Biowein-Preis
/in News, AwardsOur Grüner Veltliner Kittmannsberg 2014 got a silver Medal at the organic wine tasting Biowein-Preis in Germany. We are happy!
Work Experience Chile
/in NewsStefan is in Chile right now to get more experience in wine making abroad. Even though Norbert and Stefan can look back on a long history of experience in the Rosner winery, both believe that lifelong learning is the most important thing to produce excellent wines.
The winery Millaman produces mainly red wines with well-known varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Merlot. A very young and dynamic team in the winery produces top wines. In 2015 Casa Millman was awarded to be “best in show” in a Chilean wine tasting.
“It is a very good experience for me. I can learn about winemaking as well as the culture, which is great.”, says Stefan.
Smoke for our Vines
/in News, InfoDuring the last week of April we were setting hay on fire to produce smoke in order to protect the young sprouts of our vines from the cold. Thanks to a good community of winery owners in the region of Langenlois we were able to fight against this frosty risk. The result will be seen in a few days.

Blauer Zweigelt Klassik won a regional wine competition
/in Awards, NewsIn a regional blind wine competition in Langenlois our Blauer Zweigelt 2014 was awarded best of its kind. We are happy for this rewarding feedback for our work.
Freedom for some of our wines
/in NewsWe are bottling the first classical wines of vintage 2015. They will be available online shortly.
We are pruning our vines
/in NewsAll across Langenlois people are pruning their vines. We also started cutting back to prepare the vine for the next season.
