Vinifikation
The small and concentrated bunches from the older part of the vineyard in the single-vineyard Langenloiser Hasel were harvested by hand and gently pressed after a maceration for 12 hours. After settling overnight, the indigenous yeasts started fermentation in steel tanks, where the wine remained on the fine lees until spring. After filtration, bottling took place in winter 2022.
Single-Vineyard: Ried Langenloiser Hasel
Vineyard (Ried) Hasel is at the foot of the Dechant in the northwest of Langenlois. The ground consists of calcareous loess soil with mineral silicates. It contains sandy and partially rocky elements in deeper layers. The Riesling vines are 30 years in age and result in a very fruity and cheerful Riesling wine.

Vintage 2021
The season started with a very dry spring, that was only interrupted by a cool and wet May. Throughout the summer we experienced some hail on the single vineyards Steinberg and Kittmannsberg, however, we were fortunately spared from bigger damages. Ripeness really accelerated on the back of a sunny and relatively warm late summer. The vintage shows wines with good acidity, yet good ripeness, and therefore we expect a high longevity.
